Going Slowly

GOING SLOWLY

many times I have asked myself how I could represent a landscape, I was never able to catch a glimpse of a “visual pathway” that would agree with my imaginary landscape in which the images are freed from these stereotypes that hold the picture captive.
I let myself follow the instinct of simply seeing in order to learn to see again, without priorities, wandering in the everyday landscape in the world nearing the search for hidden harmonies, lost, scanning the surface of things to hear their voice.
A handwritten sign I ran into on the road of the village GIOVE invited me to “go slow”. I have accepted the metaphor of this invitation continuing to look in order to see slowly welcoming simple images, a bit lost, suspended and sometimes intimate waiting to be woken by events but with no intention to charm.
